Moderating for OLLI has added a great deal to my life for the past six years.

The moderators who lead OLLI classes are volunteers who share their knowledge, passions, and hobbies with the OLLI community of lifelong learners. We are looking for moderators in all fields of knowledge from art to zoology and everything in between.

PROPOSALS FOR FALL 2026 ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED. 

NOTE: New moderators of multiweek courses must successfully complete Gateways to Success. The onsite orientation has been cancelled. A committee member will be in touch to arrange one-on-ones. Accommodations can be made for those who are not local, have a scheduling conflict, or have completed the Teach for OLLI course.

Fall Term Dates: September 22-November 18 

  • No classes Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11.

OLLI at UC is rolling out a new course model: Learn and Do. These classes transform information into action within the structure of the class.

An example of a "Multiweek Course" Learn and Do could be 6 weeks in the classroom to learn about and plan a service project, then 2 weeks outside of the classroom and in the community to execute the project. 

An example of a “Special Program” Learn and Do could be a visit to a local nonprofit for a talk, followed by a service opportunity within the same visit.

Please consider if this model applies to your course proposal or could be an option for your course proposal.
