Our industry partners are key to one of UC’s signature programs—the Cooperative Education (Co-op) Program. Various companies have been long-standing partners, repeatedly hiring UC co-op students. These organizations understand the value of practical experience, providing students with real-world exposure and helping them apply classroom knowledge in professional settings.

Partners support opportunities across a wide range of UC colleges and disciplines, including engineering, business, information technology (IT), liberal arts and sciences, as well as design, architecture, art, and planning. 

Students gain hands-on experience in fields such as technology and manufacturing, data analytics, supply chain, retail management, creative design, urban planning, policy analysis, research, corporate communications, and more—often leading to full-time employment after graduation.

Employers can engage students from all these areas through paid co-op placements, internships, project-based roles, mentorship opportunities, and flexible experiences tailored to business needs. For liberal arts and sciences majors specifically, partners gain access to students with strong critical thinking, communication, research, and problem-solving skills. These students thrive in roles involving policy analysis, environmental research, content development, market research, public engagement, human resources, corporate communications, and community initiatives—often in corporate, government, nonprofit, or industry settings.

Our partners actively participate in UC's career fairs, which serve as a crucial platform for students to connect with potential employers. Companies from various industries attend these events, offering insights into industry trends and career advice.
